The Chris Tarry Group, led by famed Canadian electric bassist, Chris Tarry, is based in New York City and has been wowing audiences with its original brand of modern electric jazz since the bands inception in 1994. With his eight multi Juno Award winning solo albums, Chris Tarry has become widely regarded as one of Canada's most esteemed bandleaders, composers, and bass players. Since 1957, the volunteer-run Yardbird Suite has provided a venue for live jazz performances featuring local, national & international musicians. Operated entirely by volunteers of the Edmonton Jazz Society, the Yardbird Suite is the only facility of its kind in Canada.
